POST Request

By , About.com Guide

Definition:

POST Request: The POST request type is used to submit forms and upload files. It's more complex than the GET request type, so it's only used when necessary. The only way HTML provides to make a POST request is by submitting a form. POST is also the only non-idempotent request type implemented in HTML and most web browsers.
