Installing a Ruby Development Environment on Windows

This Ruby installer comes with no editor. The One-Click Installer came with Scite, a small editor with syntax highlighting and the like. Windows does come with a text editor you can use to write Ruby programs (Notepad), but you really don’t want to do this. I recommend downloading and installing Notepad++. However, there are many editors available for Windows, so you may prefer to install something else.
