Applications on Rails: Forever Home

Tuesday November 11, 2008

As you may know, we've been taking a look at some of the latest Ruby on Rails applications that have come about via Rails Rumble 2008. One of the most poignant of these is the work of Ben Scofield, who ran solo this year as team Leaf in the Wind, to create Forever Home.

Forever Home provides an easy user interface for people looking to adopt a new dog. It's a wrapper for PetFinder.com that allows you to search by breed, location, age and even sex to find an animal in need of a new person. The site is easy to navigate and visually appealing and has a certain simple cleanness that seems very Ruby-esque in nature.
