Open your web browser and go to the MySQL Download page at dev.mysql.com/downloads. Select MySQL Community Server, the free version of MySQL.
Select your platform from the list of platforms. You'll be presented with a number of download options. For Windows, you'll want to select the Windows Essentials option. Follow the directions on the MySQL website and download the installer.
