Package Manager

Definition:

Package manager: Software for a Linux operating system that manages the other software installed on the system. Linux software is distributed as a package that contains all the files of the installed software in addition to the "meta" information (such as which version the package is and what other packages it relies upon). The package manager will install these packages onto a Linux system.
