Hello World Program

Definition:

Hello World program: A small program that simply prints something (usually "Hello world!") to the screen. It's used to test the basic functionality of a programming language when it's first installed on a system and as a basic introduction to the language. It was first seen in the venerable book "The C Programming Language" by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie.
