Installing a Ruby Development Environment on Windows

Point your web browser to http://rubyinstaller.org and click on “Downloads.” Here, at the time of this writing, you’ll be presented with three choices, the three current major versions of Ruby. Choose one to fit your needs (I prefer 1.9.1, as most software and gems at this time will work on it) and download the installer.
