Ruby Summer of Code Projects Announced

The Ruby Summer of Code projects have been announced.  A "Summer of Code" refers to Google's original Summer of Code, where they would choose promising open source projects and support them financially so progress that otherwise wouldn't be made, would be made.  While Google still holds Summer of Code (and has since 2005), others have taken up the cause.  The Ruby Summer of Code's sponsor list is quite impressive, and the list of projects even more so.
