Last Chance for Rails Rumble Fixes

Tuesday October 21, 2008

Rails Rumble 2008 went off without a hitch this past weekend, with nearly 250 teams competing to create the best Ruby on Rails applications. And, in pushing through for 48 hours straight, there are surely a few "show stopper bugs" that contestants would like to have addressed before judging begins. Luckily, there has been a reprieve. Contestants have until midnight (GMT) today--October 21--to change up to 10 lines. The details can be found on the Rails Rumble blog.

If you didn't have a chance to follow along, the range of applications is astounding. The concepts encompass everything from finance and debt management (as exemplified by Back in Black and Tightwad) to the musical (as shown with the application Lyricist).

Of course, these are merely a few examples of the incredibly hard work that went on this weekend. If you're interested in knowing more about what went on or want to see the applications, with this "fix window," there's still some time before judging begins. Why not consider signing up to be a judge?
