It may seem like common sense to say that Input and Output are the most basic components of your Ruby program, but sometimes getting back to the basics can make you see things a little differently. The importance of the basic I/O methods, gets and puts, are often overlooked by Ruby programmers. Learning all the features and uses of these methods can help you to put them to better use in your code.
