Using Yahoo! UI to Give Your Ruby Blog That "Blog Look"

Thursday July 24, 2008

Have you started your blog with Ruby on Rails but it doesn't look quite right yet? That might be because you've built the basic scaffolding but haven't added the necessary formatting to make it look "bloggish." Part 2 of our Ruby on Rails blog tutorial makes use of the Yahoo! User Interface library to get your blog layout the way you want it without having to work with with markup tags.

The Yahoo! UI library has a huge number of resources to build interactive web applications and, though YUI is primarily a Javascript library, it does have some core Cascading Style-sheets, or CSS, components that are helpful in this iteration. Best of all, the whole library is free and open-source.

So, let's get your blog Web-ready by creating that blog look.
